About Outbacked
Practical education for study, work and adult life.
Outbacked was created to help young Australians build the practical capabilities they are often expected to have before they have been formally taught, across money, work, careers, business and professional presence.
Purpose
Turning the hidden curriculum into structured learning.
Outbacked was built around a simple observation: many of the lessons that shape early adult life are learned informally, inconsistently or too late.
How to understand a payslip. How to apply for work. How to build a professional reputation. How to manage money. How to think commercially. How to ask for guidance, build a network and move with confidence.
Outbacked exists to make those lessons more structured, more accessible and more credible, delivered through the schools, alumni communities and professional networks young people already trust.

Our approach
How we approach practical education.
Operator-led
Programs are shaped by people with practical experience in the areas they teach.
Practical by design
Each module is built around tangible outputs participants can use beyond the session.
Network-backed
Outbacked is designed to work through trusted communities, including schools, alumni associations and professional networks.
Australian context
Content is grounded in the systems, expectations and decisions young Australians actually encounter.
Quality-controlled
Programs are structured, reviewed and refined to support consistent delivery across cohorts and settings.
Trust
Built to be useful, credible and safe.
Outbacked programs are designed around practical outputs, including checklists, templates, worksheets, maps and action plans, so participants leave with more than general advice.
Facilitator materials support consistent delivery, and relevant content is reviewed before use where required.
Financial Literacy content is general education only. It's not personal financial advice, and Outbacked doesn't recommend specific financial products.
Outbacked is designed to complement schools, alumni associations and other institutions by adding a practical layer to the education and support they already provide.
